The Midnight Meat Train Film Locations

The Midnight Meat Train is a 2008 horror film based on Clive Barker’s 1984 short story of the same name starring Bradley Cooper and Vinnie Jones.

Leon (Bradley Cooper) is a photographer trying to find his muse. He spends his nights wandering the “City” (downtown Los Angeles). After the opening clencher, Leon stops on the crosswalk at 5th and S. Broadway.

Leon eventually finds his muse in the form of a mute serial killer called Mahogany (Vinne Jones). You know what they say about cats and curiosity, well Leon cannot leave this guy alone. The exterior of Mahogany’s apartment is the Barclay Hotel.

Leon takes to following Mahogany everywhere. In one scene, Mahogany is walking on the 200 block of 6th Street in downtown Los Angeles. Scenes from the movie Blade were filmed on this black as well.

Leon’s girlfriend Maya (Leslie Bibb) and her friend Jurgis (Roger Bart) decide to break into Mahogany’s apartment. They are standing at 4th and S. Main Street facing the Barclay Hotel. In the background is the San Fernando Building with it’s distinct diamond pattern.
