Dracula’s Dog Film Locations
This 1977 horror movie (released in USA in 1978) stars Fonzie’s nemesis, Myron ‘Count’ Malachi (Michael Pataki), as the current descendent of Dracula. In an odd plot, Dracula’s vampire dog, Zoltan, is brought back to life and seeks out Dracula’s descendent in California, which really puts a damper on their RV camping trip.
The Dracula crypt is discovered by Romanian army in the opening scenes. The Old Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park portrays Romania.
Eventually, the movie moves to California as the Drake family is preparing to leave on their family RV vacation. The street is in the Los Feliz area and not far from the Old Los Angeles Zoo. Climb the historic Los Feliz Heights Steps from Cromwell Ave to Bonvue Avenue and you are at the location.
