You eventually always get back to Bronson Caves if filming in Los Angeles. This 1954 movie is about an expedition to the Himalayas to seek out new flora. Instead, it becomes about finding and shipping a Yeti back to the states.
I highly recommend the book “Where Monsters Walked – California Locations of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, 1925-1965” by Gail Orwig and Robert Orwig. They cover this movie and a bunch of others. Well worth hunting down.
