The Philadelphia Experiment Film Locations
1984 science fiction romance time travel movie based on the 1979 same named novel by Charles Berlitz and William Moore. Michael Pare plays United States Navy sailor David Herdeg onboard the USS Eldridge in 1943 who is transported to 1984 because of an invisibility experiment.
Now in 1984, he and his new companion Allison Hayes (Nancy Allen) head to California to where he and his friend Jimmy grew up.
The church is where “Jimmy got married in” and is located on Central Avenue in Fillmore, California.
Then they pass the Train Depot which is in Santa Paula, a town west of Fillmore on the 126. David comments, “That’s the railroad station, looks good.”
When they pass the tree, David says, “And here we come up to the big tree. Must be a 100 years old by now.”
The first stop is David’s father’s gas station, which is located at the intersection of Sespe Avenue and Central Avenue in Fillmore. They stop to get gas. There are pictures of his dad still on the wall. David learns that his dad died a few years back.
