When looking for the underground world of The Mole People, take a trip to Red Rock Canyon State Park in California. I highly recommend Richard Schmidt’s A Field Guide to Motion Picture Locations at Red Rock Canyon and Gail and Raymond Orwig’s Where Monsters Walked if you are planning an outing to Red Rock.
To get to the scene from The Mole People, start at the Hagen Canyon trail.
Continue on the trail until you arrive at the “Land of the Dead”, taken from the Flash Gordon Conquerors the Universe serial, you know you are at the right place by the two large rocks sitting in the middle of the trail.
Continue through the “Land of the Dead” for a bit and you’ll arrive at the below scene.
