The Beastmaster Film Locations

I came across the Valley of Fire Beastmaster film location just by luck. I was hiking with a friend in the area. We had headed north from the Visitor’s Center towards Mouse’s Tank and there it was on the east side of the road. Of course, we had to stop and pay tribute to Marc Singer.

The next location is the Rock Pool at Malibu Creek State Park. Tanya Roberts had a very memorable scene in The Beastmaster at this location. I was sad to hear about her passing.

The Rock Pool has been a popular film location for quite some time.

Don Coscarelli directed the movie, which is based on The Beast Master books by Andre Norton. Check out the film locations of two other movies he directed: Bubba Ho-Tep and John Dies at the End. In fact, Bubba Ho-Tep has a scene at Malibu Creek State Park.
