The movie is a loosely based sequel to 1984’s C.H.U.D. Rather than straight horror this is a comedy with Gerrit Graham playing Bud Oliver who is known as “Bud the C.H.U.D. The U.S. Military took enzymes form the C.H.U.D.s from the first movie to make “super soldiers”. I know it doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Anyway, the teen stars of the movie accidently reawaken Bud and chaos and hilarity ensues.

A good portion of the movie was filmed in San Pedro.

The teens enter The Arcade Building from the rear entrance.

The Warner Grand Theatre used to host the Los Angeles H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival & CthulhuCon for a couple years.

The Winterhaven City Hall is actually the San Pedro Municipal Building.
