Fantastic 1970s conspiracy movie. Some of the desert scenes were filmed at Rock Rock Canyon in California. The below scene is filmed near the Scenic Cliffs area. Best way to visit this area is to park in the Red Cliffs parking lot and hike north towards the Iron Canyon.
When Caulfield’s (Elliott Gould) car brakes go out, he is driving around Long Beach, California. The below picture is right around 500 East Anaheim Street.
Caulfield’s driving thru a gas station on the corner of Anaheim Street and Atlantic Avenue. The camera is pointed toward Anaheim street. The gas station has since been replaced by an automotive service business.

The First Congregational Church of Long Beach is in this scene. I took this picture several years ago. Now an apartment complex has been completed over the prior parking lot.
Caulfield is driving on Pine towards the camera. The intersection just passed was 3rd Street. The Famers & Merchants Bank building can be seen at that corner.
