Hollywood Museum

I had heard about it and finally had to make a trip.

“The Hollywood Museum, the official museum of Hollywood, has the most extensive collection of Hollywood memorabilia in the world. The museum, featuring four floors of breathtaking exhibits, is home to more than 10,000 authentic show biz treasures– one of a kind costumes, props, photographs, scripts, stars’ car collections and personal artifacts, posters, and vintage memorabilia from favorite films and TV shows.” – The Hollywood Museum website

I have to be honest, my real interest was the sci-fi and horror exhibits. The history of the make-up not so much.

The museum is not far from the now tourist mecca of Hollywood and Highland. In fact, I parked at Highland and walked over. So, if you are planning a chessey Hollywood day … and lets be honest, we all need one of those now and then, add the museum to your list.

I am going to let my photos relate my travails in the Hollywood Museum …

First up, death masks of the Horror Masters…

A little nod to good old Pee-wee Herman…

Hannibal’s cell …

A little Elvira …

I can’t forget Vampira …

A little pit stop for the Walking Dead …

And of course … Superman …

And to wrap things up … the Wizard of Oz …

There is tons of other items to see ranging from Star War to Star Trek. Get on down to the Hollywood Museum and get your inner geek on.
