Aerospace History – Joe Davies Heritage Airpark

Joe Davies Heritage Airpark

You’ve taken a tour of Edwards, you’ve explored Llano Ruins, drove past Club Ed, what more can you do on your visit to the Antelope Valley?  Well, put the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark on your list.

Southern California has a major role in aerospace history, so if you are an enthusiast or just have a passing interest in flight, take a moment to visit this free park operated by the City of Palmdale and staffed by volunteers. The park includes 17 retired aircraft flown, tested, designed, produced or modified at the United States Air Force Plant 42. And, they plan to add more!

You might as well as head over to downtown Lancaster afterwards for a bite to eat and explore the Aerospace Walk of Fame.

Address:

Avenue P and 25th Street East, Palmdale, California

The city operated parks sits adjacent to the Blackbird Airpark Museum: an extension of the AFFT Museum at Edwards AFB.
